Why be a case study?
People remember real-life stories more than greenwash adverts. Since homo sapiens evolved millions of years ago, our culture has been passed on by storytellers. The Bible is the world’s best-selling storybook. Life stories have trust and integrity. They reflect beliefs and motivations and share learning. And EVERYBODY has a story to tell. Yet too few people in business write about their successes. Are we too modest for our own good?
How to write a successful case study.
Ask your team and colleagues for examples. We can also learn from failures. Almost all successful people have built on their failures. Which actions had the highest impact? Who was involved? What challenges did they face? How were challenges overcome? Describe the outcomes and impacts. Add colourful pictures or related graphics to paint your storyboard.
Where can you share this?
We are all connected by just 6 degrees of separation so ask others to share the story. Your story can go to websites, magazines, newsletters, blogs, vlogs, and journalists. The world is your oyster. Look at the results of others who apply this to enhance trust, reputation, win awards, personal promotions, team motivation, and a big boost for your SEO.
