The Rampion Community Benefit Fund is a community benefit fund set up by Rampion Offshore Wind Ltd and managed by Sussex Community Foundation. The Fund seeks to support charities and community groups through the energy crisis and beyond, while tackling carbon emissions and climate change. The fund has awarded £2 million already to over 200 social enterprises across Sussex and is now opening for new applicants.
Local charity supporter Clive Bonny, MD at Strategic Management Partners in Rottingdean recommends applicants prepare submissions before May 19 deadline. Clive, a co-founding charity trustee of Beacon Hub Brighton, has helped many local firms win support grants to reduce essential operating costs.
Clive is also an accredited Responsible Business advisor since 2015 and adds “I’ve been a fan of the Rampion wind farm since capturing a photo of the first stalk erected 8 years ago. We’ve since seen over 100 installed giving renewable energy to many thousands of Sussex homes. Rampion now hosts the largest underwater marine conservation reef in Europe created by unique windfarm foundation designs. A unique engineering design success story which needs sharing more widely.”
