A national network of health technology innovators who support the NHS met in Brighton’s Walrus pub to share ideas, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions to advance health innovation. One Health Tech “OHT” are a global, volunteer-led community committed to making health innovations work for everyone. Members range from experts and professionals to hobbyists and enthusiasts, all united by a shared interest in healthtech.
Local monthly meetings are hosted by Rose Bundock, community leader of OHT Brighton and founder of audience insights company Femsights. The guest speaker was Mark Bailey – CEO, chair, NED and advisor with 30 years across life sciences and healthcare data. Mark founded, scaled and sold businesses across genomics, MedTech and health services. He is a Venture Partner at Zinc, backing founders building healthcare and life science solutions.
Clive Bonny, Director at Strategic Management Partners, attended as a previous NHS Innovation Award advisor. Clive, who is qualified for intellectual property protection, equity funding and social impact accreditation, commented, “group discussions cover culture and team-building pathways for patient-centred care, leadership role development and how to accelerate product and service growth. I recommend anyone with an interest in community health to consider joining these events. It’s a non-profit run by volunteers and free to join”
