High growth enterprises across Sussex are supporting new standards in sustainable business. A breakfast event sponsored by Sussex Chamber of Commerce has brought together over 20 companies to discuss best practice case studies for sustainability. Examples included local firms who are using the GrowthAccelerator support grant to benchmark operations with Responsible Business Standards.
The event attendees included representatives from Oxford Innovation Centre, Business Skills Kent, manufacturers, professional service providers and distributors. Sussex Enterprise manager Chris Goulding says “business breakfasts are a great way for busy executives to start the day and we are delighted to see so many local firms interested in national sustainability standards which promote environment management and social responsibility activities.”
Examples of firms using the GrowthAccelerator scheme to introduce innovations and quality management processes were presented by trademark agent Clive Bonny. Clive says “grant funded GrowthAccelerator support enables firms to innovate with high quality standards such as the Responsible Business Standard. This in turn widens their marketability across wider supply chains including the public sector.”
